I am a HUGE fan of case study hypotheticals that require students to role play and think deeply about issues. I plan to use Case #6: "Speedo Diplomacy" about deep seabed mining in my class on maritime law and oceans. Renewing the World: Casebook for Leadership in Water has so many cases to choose from!

Every human being and every single living thing on this planet is facing increasing risk from a host of threats, from climate change, to pollution, to infrastructure decay and more. Renewing the World: Water presents a comprehensive survey of water, the problems that must urgently be solved, and innovations emerging that offer us hope.

Renewing the World: Water does what no other water sustainability reference book does: it provides the only way to see a synthesis of the tech innovations, legal advancements, and government approaches underway to address water crisis challenges worldwide. But where it shines is it made me aware of the entrepreneurial work going on. The book brings these small, but potentially transformative, companies to light.
